Deranged Environment (2021) When on walks in forests for Stars of the Midnight Ranges around 2020 and 2021, De Laet started making field recordings with the intention of experimenting with moving image for the work. He ended up making ambient music first with the intention of adding moving image afterwards (he enjoys approaching things in different ways). He eventually realized that the music became too dominant for audiovisual work. So De Laet ended up making it a separate project and thusly started experimenting more with the field recordings with ultimately adding electric guitar.  

It resulted in an ambient album where De Laet’s visual style transforms into music. With an ambiguity around the sounds because of the use of digital manipulation.
